I’m a registered occupational therapist, psychotherapist based in Toronto. I completed my graduate training at the University of Toronto and have over five years of experience working in the mental health field providing both individual and group therapy. As a clinician, I’ve worked and trained at large teaching hospitals such as the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (camh), St. Michael’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
I’ve received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety/depression, CBT for psychosis, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness based approaches. As an evidence based practitioner, I regularly participate in ongoing supervision, peer consultation and continued education.
As a trauma informed queer person of colour, my practice is grounded in anti-oppression, anti-racism and harm reduction frameworks.
My approach to therapy is empathetic, collaborative and non-judgmental, providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, feel seen and heard. I work primarily within a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness based framework to address various challenges. As an occupational therapist, I bring a holistic and strengths-based approach to psychotherapy with the aim of helping clients live meaningful lives. I am passionate supporting people with a variety of issues including:
